Design Process

So How Does This Work? Magic?

Almost but not quite (it just looks like magic). Creating unique pieces for your event is definitely a process but I’ll work with you every step of the way from initial design consultation to delivery! I work hard to make this as stress-free as possible. Here’s what you can expect when working with me.

Inspiration + Design Consultation

This is where we meet to discuss your overall creative vision! Submit a design questionnaire where you can share your ideas, inspirations (including a link to your Pinterest board if you have one!), and design requests. Have questions? We can schedule a free, 15-minute consulting call to flesh out your ideas in more detail.

Project Proposal + Contract

Following our design consultation, I’ll create a customized proposal detailing your package (including delivery options and fees) for your desired design package. Once you approve your proposal, I’ll send over a welcome packet that will include a contract, project timeline, and deposit invoice. Simply return the signed contract along with a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold your place in our design schedule. If your event is in less than 3 weeks from the initial design inquiry, full payment is required along with a rush fee. I’ll also coordinate drop-off of your chalkboards or mirrors to our studio.

Design Concept + Revisions

Okay, so we’re doing this! Yay! This is where things start to get fun. You can sit back and relax while I get to work sketching. I’ll combine your favorite aspects from your design inspirations to create a custom design for you. You’ll receive a digital proof to review and make any small adjustments. Two (2) rounds of revisions are included to work out any kinks and get things just right. Additional revisions are billed per project at an hourly rate. Your finalized guest list for seating charts or place/escort cards will be requested at this time.

Production + Delivery

Once you give the A-OK on your design proofs, work on your signs start! Each sign is lettered by hand so there may be slight variances in spacing and look of the lettering from the approved design. Once everything is completed, your items will be packaged and ready for pickup or delivery (additional charges apply for delivery). Final payment is due before you receive your artwork.

All that’s left is for you to enjoy your custom artwork!
